Bankroll
Form a private group with friends for a contest: a set of NFL games, such as one
weekend or the playoffs. Everyone starts with $3,000 in play money and must bet at
least $500 on every game day. The biggest bankroll after the last game wins.
Rules
- Every bet pays even money, favorite or underdog. A winning $1,000 bet adds $1,000.
- Bet whole dollars, up to the money you have available. Money on a game is held until it ends.
- Change or cancel a bet any time before the game's listed kickoff. Betting closes at kickoff.
- Bets stay hidden from your group until kickoff, then everyone's are shown.
- Bet at least $500 in total on every game day (or everything you have, if that's less).
Bet less and you pay a $500 penalty, capped at what you have left, once betting closes on the day's last game.
- A tie, cancelled or forfeited game refunds its bets. Those bets still count toward the day's minimum.
- Winnings are credited when a game ends and can go on a later game that hasn't kicked off.
- At $0 you're out. Players tied for the top balance share the win.
- Groups lock at the contest's first kickoff: no one can join after that.
- All times are Central.
No real money is involved. All balances, bets and winnings are fictional.
